Before you get started make sure you have the following things that you'll need:
Firstly, plan your installation at a time when you won’t have too many distractions or interruptions. Our wallpaper installation may be simple, but it will still test your patience as you align patterns and get everything just so.
Clean the surface thoroughly to remove dust and grime. Ensure the surface is completely dry before applying the wallpaper. Remove any light switch and power point cover plates.
Plan where to place your first wallpaper strip, we recommend starting in a corner. Measure the length (i.e. ceiling to floor) of the area being covered and cut the first wallpaper strip 10cm longer than required.
Remove around 30cm of the backing from the top of your strip. Be careful, once the backing is removed the adhesive is exposed and if folded over will stick to itself.
Attach the wallpaper to the top of the area to be covered. Allow for a 5cm overlap onto the ceiling as many ceilings are not even and this will cover any gaps. Use your spirit level to get this first panel perfectly positioned as it sets the direction for the entire wall. If the first panel is slightly out of alignment by the final panel it will be a complete mess!
Using the smoothing cloth provided; press and smooth the wallpaper onto the surface starting in the middle and working towards the edges. Slowly roll down the backing paper from another 30cm and smooth this section of wallpaper onto the wall. Repeat until the entire strip is stuck to the wall.
Align the pattern of your next strip of wallpaper against the strip already applied to the wall and cut 10cm longer again. Repeat the application process again ensuring your pattern is aligned as you go. If you get air bubbles, smooth them out or remove that section of wallpaper carefully and reapply. Cut an X across light switches or power points using your retractable blade, peel back the cut wallpaper and carefully remove the excess leaving only 1cm which will be hidden by the cover plates.
Once all strips are applied, carefully trim the excess wallpaper on the ceiling and skirting board using a sharp retractable blade and a ruler to make sure you get straight cuts. Re-install light switch and power point cover plates.

WALLPAPER REMOVAL
To remove the wallpaper, simply pull slowly and carefully at a 180 degree angle. Tearing the wallpaper off quickly and holding at a 90 degree angle can damage your walls.
As all walls are different, we can't guarantee a damage-free removal in all cases. There may also be some sticky residual, this can easily be removed with hot water and sugar soap.
